Copying a Music Poster

In today's lesson I copied a music poster for media, this was so that when we make our artilleries we have the correct skills for them, since I will be main a digipak this has helped massively.

This is the poster which I copied from:

And this is my copy:

As you can see there are some small differences between the two but I tried my hardest to make them as similar as possible. I created the copy of the music poster on Adobe Photoshop CS4 using the different tools I copied the poster.

I chose this poster to copy because I like the simplicity of it along with the block colours being used, the hot pink text at the top draws the eye in and the glasses and microphone show far away audiences what the poster's theme is. The microphone symbolises music or singing and the one pair of glasses represents the person who will be singing. The black background causes contrast between the items and causes the viewer to think that the genre of music will be classic or dark. The name of the song is clear for the audience to see with it being hot pink and the name of the band or singer is above in a off white colour and below the title of the song there is the creator of the music video. The music video creator isn't very well publicised because it is the same colour as the song title and is in a small font.

This lesson has helped me in creating and working on Photoshop, and also helped me prepare for the future artilleries.
